David Simon Martret was born in Barcelona, where he is living currently. He began Philosophy’s degree at the University of Barcelona. Nevertheless, he started to be interested in “an expression form and look around kind, a knowledge way of himself and a search of anothers”; the Photography. Likewise, he has studied it in the IEFC (Institut d’estudis fotogràfics de Catalunya).
David works as a freelance photographer and social documentary artist. And he travels around working on his own national and international projects. He is obtaining his first positive results: he has won the photographic award Clic’10 and he has been selected as Spanish representative in the “Student Focus 2009” (Sony World Photography Awards).
